I took an active part in the organisation’s project team to manage the integration of all shared service functions for Mouchel employees and systems, in particular for the transfer of HR, payroll and employee self service functions from using Connect (a SAP based system) to Business World.
Delivered an improved onboarding offering to support the business’ ambitious growth targets.
By their own admission Mouchel had a disjointed and ineffective induction deemed to be not fit for purpose. Voluntary turnover was c15% so there was an emphasis on quality recruitment and employee retention. Additionally there was no budget available to make any fundamental changes, I could only make improvements to what was already available.
I have worked with several organisations to successfully deliver projects to implement changes ahead of the IR35 tax reforms, all enabling the organisations to meet their compliance requirements.
Leading a project group at a large engineering consultancy firm to update their payroll processes and systems to ensure legally compliant holiday pay calculations for all UK employees.
The project achieved implementation of the necessary payroll changes to ensure all employees were paid their full holiday pay entitlement in line with changing employment case law.
I produced and delivered workshops and webinars ahead of the IR35 tax reforms. The workshops were delivered on various occasions in conjunction with local business Hart Recruitment to local HR and business leaders. Additional webinars were delivered to various audiences.
Worked with key stakeholders in a call centre environment to implement a more accurate and consistent process for recording absence, take ownership of absence management processes and coaching of line managers to continue delivery, all of which contributed to a significant reduction in employee absence levels.

I delivered a project to ensure successful implementation of a new OH provider for housing provider Bromford.
The project involved engagement with internal HR and H&S teams, senior leaders and 3 external OH providers plus some liaison with IT and Finance colleagues.
